James McIntyre

James Dennie McIntyre, age 70, of Sterling Heights, passed away on November 28, 2021. He was born November 18, 1951, in Royal Oak to the late Duncan and Jennie McIntyre. James "Jim" McIntyre was called home to the heavenly BIG HOUSE. La Famiglia, family, meant the world to Jim and he was an important part of their world. He married Diane Lynn (Stanow) on July 20, 1973, in Detroit, MI and was her best friend, confidant, and devoted supporter. James was a devoted father and is survived by his sons Brian (Jennifer and her son Ben) of Sterling Heights and Joshua (Katie) of Fraser. He will be greatly missed by his siblings, David (Karen) Stanow of Atlanta, Georgia, Duane (late Marsha) of Highland, Deborah (Kevin) Vallie of Attica, Dale (late Lauren) of Waterford, Laurie Pluhar of Traverse City and David (late Paula) of Romeo. He is also survived by three generations of 50 nieces and nephews and countless friends. Jim was an avid follower of University of Michigan Football and managed to incorporate family and friends into M-E-E-E-C-H-I-G-A-N football with season tickets, tailgating, and his love for the triumphant maize and blue. Professionally, he was dedicated to helping others through serving his hardware customers at Little Acres Hardware, Home Depot and most recently Lowe's. While he leaves behind many grieving family and friends, he has left a legacy of being a supportive husband; of pride in his children; a love for his family and friends and a dedicated football fan. Jim led a SIMPLY MARVELOUS life! Visitation Friday, December 3, 2021, from 3-8 pm with a Celebration of Life service at 6 pm (Michigan attire is optional) at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks E of Van Dyke), Utica. In-state Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am at Christ Lutheran Church, 12500 Canal Road, Sterling Heights, If you are unable to join the family at church, a live stream of the services is available at http://www.christsterling.org.
