Jason Michael Christensen

Jason Michael Christensen, age 36, of Clarkston, MI, passed away March 27th, 2020. Jason was an avid video game enthusiast, loved family time and going to the movies. He showed immense appreciation for the people in his life. His gratitude radiated as he lived and loved authentically, never disguised his feelings or judged others. He had a giving soul and was always looking to make his friends and family happy. Jason didn't have the easiest life, but he sure did make the best of it. Through his developmental and learning challenges, he persisted with positivity and a wildly competitive nature. His love for his family grew greater and greater through the years. He appreciated his growing support system and showed his love through big bear hugs. Jason had a true admiration for you if he called you "trouble". Jason paid attention to the simple things in life and made sure to enjoy them to the fullest. His aunt's homemade chocolate chip cookies, music of any kind, a walk through the park and let's not forget, Pokemon. Pokemon shows, playing cards, video games, movies, all things Pokemon. We may never know why Jason loved Pokemon so much. Maybe, like many others, he found it fun and entertaining. Or maybe he had a thirst for life's adventures and wanted to "catch em' all". There's one thing for certain. Jason's family will forever enjoy a slice or two of pizza in his honor for he was pizza's biggest fan. Jason was a man of few words, but when he started talking, he sure was animated. He loved to crack jokes and was amazingly witty. He had the ability to get the whole family riled up in a deep belly laugh. Jason's joy came audibly in the form of a slightly raspy snicker that was pure and infectious to all in the room (hehe hehehe). Jason is resting in peace with his beloved father, Carl J. Christensen. His spirit will continue to live through his mother, Rhonda Christensen; his sister, Laurie A. Christensen; his grandparents, Karen and Alfred Christensen along with James and Della Staten; and his many aunts, uncles and cousins who all adored him. The family is planning a beautiful memorial in June when they are all able to travel safely to Michigan. Will there be pizza? The answer is a solid, "yes".
