Lori D. Johnson

Lori D. Johnson (nee' Colebrooke), a cherished member of the Sterling Heights community in Michigan for 45 years, passed away on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, in Troy, Michigan, at the age of 67. She was born on October 25, 1956, in Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Grace Colebrooke (nee' Hancock). Lori dedicated 28 years of her life to Wm. Beaumont Hospital, where she served as a Medical Transcriptionist before retiring. She was a dedicated and talented professional, leaving a mark on her workplace and colleagues. On October 28, 1978, Lori married the love of her life, Allen Johnson, with whom she celebrated 45 beautiful years of marriage. Their bond was a testament to love, loyalty, and unwavering support. Lori found joy in various passions throughout her life. She adored spending time at the family cabin in Northern Michigan, where she found solace in nature and enjoyed fishing. As a teenager, she found delight in the rhythmic motion of roller skating. Photography was another passion of hers, especially capturing the beauty of nature. Additionally, Lori was skilled in crafting and found joy in creating beautiful pieces. Her culinary talents were evident in her cooking, where she lovingly prepared meals for her beloved son, Bradley, and her husband, Allen. Lori will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Allen Johnson, her son Bradley (Nicole Lupinski) Johnson, her mother-in-law Sara Johnson, and her siblings-in-law Kathleen (Scott) Solomon and Mark (Karen) Johnson. She also leaves behind cherished nieces and nephew, Christopher Johnson, Ariel Solomon, and Alyse Solomon. Lori's presence brought warmth and light to the lives of those around her, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Family and friends will gather for a visitation and service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 3-8pm and Friday, February 9, 2024 from 10am until time of funeral service 11am.
