Mary Ann Campbell

Mary Ann Campbell, age 89, passed away on February 13, 2024. She was born on August 30th, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Harry and Helen Steinhebel. Mary Ann was the beloved wife of Edward Campbell, whom she married on June 20th, 1998. She was previously married to Louis Emery Bock on July 11th, 1953, who predeceased her. She is survived by her loving children: Diane (Martin) Feinroth, Keith (Elizabeth) Bock, Roger Bock, Karen (Michael) Reaves, Janet (Jon) Wurges, as well as her stepchildren: Margaret Campbell, Deborah Campbell, Mark (Judi) Campbell, and Steven (Sue) Campbell. Mary Ann was a proud grandmother to Joshua, Brandon, Andrew, Amber, Jerome, Andrew, Christopher, Joseph, Victoria, Tyler, and her step-grandchildren: Ryan, Matthew, David, Kelli, Nick, Andrea, Will, Ryan, Jes, and Sean. Additionally, she cherished her great-grandchildren Annabelle, Frederick, Lillian, Violet, Clayton, Ryland, Kaylynn, Nicholas Robert Jr., Olivia Lee, Dylan, Madison, Sophia, Lily, Hunter, and her step-great-grandchildren Grayson, Lucy, Lakelyn, Logan, Aiden, Skylar, Colton, Blakely, and Caroline. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mary Ann Stange, father-in-law Louis Bock, mother-in-law Julia Bock, brother Robert (Caroline) Steinhebel, sister Alice Chop, brother-in-law Marvin Chop, and nephew Eric Chop. Mary Ann graduated from St. Anthony High School in Detroit and enjoyed being a part of the Red Hat Society. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often boasting about them proudly. Known for her nurturing nature, Mary Ann would make soup for the children when they were sick. A social butterfly, Mary Ann loved being the life of the party. Her deep Catholic faith brought her comfort, especially in her final days, and she had a particular fondness for the color purple. Mary Ann had a variety of hobbies, including crafting, sewing, painting, jewelry making, shopping, shopping, and did we mention shopping? She had a passion for lighthouses, travel, spoon and bell collections, and lilacs. Professionally, Mary Ann worked as a Personnel Manager at Kmart. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15th, from 3:00 - 8:00 pm with a 6:30 pm Rosary at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica. The Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, February 16th, at 10:00 am at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18203 23 Mile Road, Macomb, with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass.
