Aleyamma Chacko May 30, 1930 - May 30, 2024 Aleyamma Chacko was born on May 30, 1930, to P.J and Sosamma Joseph of Perinjelil house in Pullad, Kerala, India. She had 3 brothers and 3 sisters; she is survived by one sister, Chinnamma, who lives in India. Aleyamma was married to her late husband K.G. Chacko of Kootenpara house. They lived in Kayungumprayar, Puramattom, Kerala and then relocated to Angamali, Kerala. She immigrated to the United States in February 2012 to be closer to all her family here. She enjoyed spending time with her nephews and nieces especially on return visits to India. She was an active member of Sharon Church, Angamali for many years. She was attending Troy International Church of God in Troy, Michigan upon coming to the US. She is survived by her 4 children, Kunjamma Mathew (T.M. Mathew), K.C. (Babu) Varughese (Sosamma Varughese), Sosamma (Ponnamma) Mathew (Mathewkutty John), Molamma Jacob (late Jacob George). She was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Aleyamma Chacko was a humorous and generous individual. She loved reading her bible and in recent years, when her health declined, she was able to recite all the verses she had memorized over the years. She was a great cook who was known for her Achappam and fish curry. She loved her parambu (land in India), neighbors, family, and church community both in India and in the US.
