Ann C. Laise

Ann C. Laise, of Utica, formerly of Detroit, passed away on June 3, 2020 at the age of 65. Ann was born on June 24, 1954 in Grosse Pointe to Richard J. and Mary J. Beckhold. On September 17, 1977, Ann married the love of her life, Luigi Laise, at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Ann is the cherished wife of Luigi; the loving mother of Laura (Justin Beckett) Laise of Keego Harbor, Matthew Laise of Shelby Township, and Michael (Jessica) Laise of Utica; the beloved grandmother of Michael, Joseph, Jacob, Gianna, and Santino; and the dear sister of Kathy (Dave) Shipton, Richard (Mary) Beckhold, Margaret "Peggy" (Don) Casing, and Andres (Lin) Beckhold. Ann received a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Wayne State University. She was a certified Occupational Health Nurse and was OSHA Certified. Ann was a devoted nurse and caregiver. This extended to everyone around her; which made her the neighborhood mother and one Bad Ass Momma-Do-A. Ann's family will receive friends on Friday, June 12, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica. Due to the current gathering restrictions in place, the funeral home is currently allowing 10 guests to pay their respects at a time with Ann's family. The family asks for your patience if you have to wait. As you visit, please be mindful that others may be waiting to pay their respects. The funeral home is encouraging all guests to wear a mask in their facility. If you would like to attend the mass at St. Lawrence, the church is requiring all guest to wear a mask inside the church.
