In Loving Memory of Bonnie Joyce Campbell September 4, 1943 - June 25, 2025 A Heart Full of Love, A Life Full of Grace With deep sorrow, we announce the peaceful passing of Bonnie Joyce Campbell on June 25, 2025. While our hearts ache at her absence, we find comfort in knowing she has been reunited in Heaven with those she loved so dearly and is now resting in the eternal embrace of the Lord. Born on September 4, 1943, to John and Margaret (née Forgash) Berzac, Bonnie’s life was defined by her unwavering faith, generous heart, and quiet strength. She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis Campbell-a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend whose presence brought warmth, wisdom, and grace to all who knew her. Bonnie began her professional career at AG Edwards, laying the groundwork for an impressive tenure in finance. Her dedication and expertise led her through roles at Shearson Lehman Brothers, Shearson Lehman/American Express, and Shearson Lehman Hutton, culminating in her leadership as Vice President of Operations at Salomon Smith Barney and Citigroup. Her professionalism and integrity earned the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Despite her many achievements, Bonnie’s proudest role was that of mother to her three sons: Curtis Kopko (Carleen), Geoff Kopko (Jana), and Randy Kopko. She nurtured them with steadfast love and instilled in them the values of faith, compassion, and resilience. She also embraced her four stepdaughters-Nancy Burnham (Rick), Lisa Schley (Randy), Julie Gramps (Bret), and Sharon Grundman (Tom)-with open arms and a generous spirit, loving them as her own. Her greatest joys came from family. As a grandmother and great-grandmother to 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, Bonnie delighted in every moment spent with them. Her home was a haven of unconditional love and heartfelt laughter-a place where all were welcome, and no one ever left hungry or without a hug. One of the most beautiful chapters of Bonnie’s life was her extraordinary relationship with her beloved sister, Winnie Smith (Craig). More than siblings, Bonnie and Winnie were true best friends. Their bond was unshakable and joyful, enriched by weekly Friday night dinners, countless vacations, and a lifetime of shared laughter, memories, and unwavering support. Their enduring friendship was a shining example of love and loyalty. Bonnie’s faith was the quiet cornerstone of her life. She lived her beliefs through kindness, patience, and simple acts of care that touched the lives of everyone around her. Whether through a listening ear, a gentle word, or her ever-present smile, Bonnie brought peace and comfort to all who knew her. She cherished family gatherings, where stories were shared, food passed around generously, and the famous Berzac goodbyes-long, winding farewells filled with “just one more” story or hug-became legendary. Bonnie leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were blessed to know her. She is survived by her sons, daughters-in-law, stepdaughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her sister Winnie, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Services for Bonnie Campbell will be held with visitation on Sunday, June 29th, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks east of Van Dyke Avenue, on the north side of Hall Road/M59) Utica. A funeral service will take place on Monday, June 30th, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 45160 Van Dyke Ave (corner of Van Dye and Hall Road, on the north side of hall road) Utica, with an instate at 10:00 AM and the service beginning at 10:30 AM. All who knew and loved her are warmly invited to attend and help honor a life so beautifully lived.
