Brenda Jaye

Brenda Jaye, age 67, of Shelby Township passed at her residence. She was born to her parents, the late Jeanette (Jablonowski) Jaye neé Lushetzky, and the late Edward Joseph (Jablonowski) Jaye, of Detroit, at the time. She was educated at St. Rita's Catholic School of Detroit and Utica Community Schools and earned her B.A. at Wayne State University and M.A. at Michigan State University. She had a brief Librarian career at General Motors Legal Department before switching to teaching. Brenda was a retired Teacher at Armada Schools teaching various subjects, especially as an Art Educator. During her career, she earned the distinction of being selected twice as Teacher of the Year and was a Vice President of the Michigan Art Education Association. Brenda attended Christ Church Cranbrook and enjoyed collecting goods for the Senior Outreach Program. She was a woman of many talents, hobbies and interests, and had a love of the outdoors, often biking through Stoney Creek Park, and loved to travel. As an Artist, she created many exceptional pieces of art. Brenda was our hero after she became a Pink Warrior twice in her life when she won the challenge. She was kind and generous, having a love of family, relatives, and friends. She enjoyed her many previous students and their families in Armada. She lended a helping hand to all who asked her and was an encouragement to others throughout her life. Brenda adopted many pets from shelters through the years and leaves behind her beloved dog Pearl. Brenda is survived by three siblings, Jeanette (the late Richard) and her partner Ed Boatright, Roger (Carol) Jaye, and Lynda Jaye Raleigh. Nieces and Nephew; Charissa Cueter, Scott (Danniel) Jaye, and Kate (Andrew) Zera. Grandnephew's and a Grandniece, Eric Cueter, Theodore Cueter, Alaina Jaye, and Luke Zera. Godchildren Kenneth Falasa and Elizabeth (Betsy) Craven. In addition, she was a Step-Aunt to a Step-nephew Michael Kroswek and Step-niece Karen Kroswek and their respective families.
