Brian N. Lengjel

Brian Nelson Lengjel, a resident of Rochester, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on April 16, 1975, in Royal Oak, Michigan, Brian graduated from Adams High School and went on to study construction management at Oakland Community College and Eastern Michigan University. Over the years, he built a career in the trades, working as a carpenter, supervisor, and most recently as a CAD designer, creating layouts for closets, kitchens, and bathrooms. Brian had a quiet presence and a serious personality—described as a bit of a curmudgeon, but with a deeply kind and generous heart. He was introverted by nature and preferred to stay out of the spotlight, but those who knew him well were part of a close-knit circle that he made feel special. He was always willing to lend a hand with side projects for friends and family and never expected anything in return. A lifelong hockey fan, Brian played the sport throughout his youth and continued into adulthood. He especially loved watching the Detroit Red Wings and followed European football matches, often tuning in at odd hours to catch the games overseas. He also enjoyed fishing and found peace in the simplicity of the outdoors. Brian was a devoted animal lover, and his rescue dog, Sweet Pea, was his constant companion and greatest joy. His deep compassion, quiet strength, and loyalty will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Loving son of Robert and the late Carol Lengjel. A visitation for Brian will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (4 blks. E. of Woodward), Royal Oak, 48067. Friends and family will gather on Tuesday, June 24, from 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am at the funeral home.
