Clifford Elmer Miller

Clifford Elmer Miller, age 88 passed away in Shelby Township, Michigan. He was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to his late parents Otto and Ferona Miller (Stadler) on April 27, 1931. He is survived by his wife Lois J. (nee Durant). Loving father of Sandra (Gordon) Carr, Robyn (Jeffrey) Newman, Karyn (Jeffrey) Carter, Kimberly Adams, and David Adams. Grandfather of Hannah Carr, Jared Carr, Jason Hanlon, Tyler Hanlon, Joshua Carter, Joseph Carter, Christi Cushing, Amanda Stedman, Taylor Williams, David Williams, and the late Rebekah Carr. Proud great grandfather of twelve. Dearest brother to Geraldine (late Ivan) Techel and Roger (Marilyn) Miller. Cliff has been an active member all of his life at Trinity Lutheran Church, Utica, Mi . He was baptized, confirmed, and married at Trinity Lutheran Church, to his late wife Eleanor Miller.. He was an Elder of the Church and volunteered for many Christian activities. He graduated from Trinity Lutheran Elementary School in 1945 and Utica High School class of 1949. He loved to travel, attended baseball games including the Tigers and all of his grandchildren's games. He is known for his poetry and has written over 1,000 poems regarding people, nature, faith and special occasions in life and many topics.Once a year he would attend the Macomb County Sheriffs Police Academy workshops. Family will receive friends Sunday, March 8th, from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks east of Van Dyke Avenue on the north side of Hall Road), Utica, Michigan. Monday, March 9th he will lie in state at 10:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 45160 Van Dyke Avenue, Utica. Burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery, Clinton Township, Michigan.
