In Loving Memory of Delores (“Dee”) Diane Wisniewski With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we share that Delores (“Dee”) Diane Wisniewski of Shelby Township, Michigan passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, at the age of 92. Delores was truly a gift to all who knew her. Known for her generous heart, welcoming smile, and quiet strength, she had a remarkable way of making others feel valued and loved. Whether through gentle words of encouragement, thoughtful acts of kindness, or her unwavering support, she left an indelible mark on countless lives— especially within her family. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Born on March 11, 1933, in Hamtramck, Michigan, Delores grew up with a deep appreciation for family— a value that remained the foundation of her life. She cherished those who walked beside her and held close the memory of those who went before her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Wisniewski; her dear mother and father, Rose and Daniel Styzik; and her cherished sister and brother-in-law, Lorraine and Thomas Metz, each of whom remained forever in her heart. We find comfort in imagining their joyful reunion. She is lovingly honored and remembered by her children, Rosemary Plourde (and her late husband Michael), Linda Flaga (Marc), and John Wisniewski, in addition to her grandchildren, Christie Alderton (Bryan) and Michael Plourde (Heather), and great-grandchildren, Shaylyn, Lenna, Sophie, Grace, and Michael, who will carry her love with them always. Delores’s greatest joy came from time spent together— celebrating holidays, marking milestones, sharing stories at the kitchen table, and simply enjoying everyday moments that became treasured memories. She was a steady presence, a source of comfort, and a constant champion for those she loved. Those who knew Delores will remember her warmth, resilience, compassion and the quiet grace with which she lived her life. Though our hearts are heavy, we are comforted by the example she set and the love she gave so freely. A private celebration of life with close family will be held at a future date. In honor of Delores, the family invites you to share a simple act of kindness, lend a helping hand, or spend time with someone you love— a reflection of the beautiful way she lived.
