Evelyn H. LaDuke

LaDuke, Evelyn, age 90, of Afton, Oklahoma, formerly a 49-year resident of Beverly Hills, passed away June 28, 2017. She was born October 29, 1926 in East Detroit to the late Adam and Irene Sauerbeck. Mrs. LaDuke ran an active household with 10 children. She was a devoted grandmother to 29 grandchildren and great grandmother to 16. She loved trips to Mackinac Island and staying at the Grand Hotel. Mrs. LaDuke was an avid camper and enjoyed bowling and golfing, but playing cards always put a smile on her face and joy in her heart. She also loved Naples, Florida where she and her husband spent their winters. She was the beloved wife of the late Phillip LaDuke Jr.; the couple married October 15, 1949 in Detroit; loving mother of 10 children: Phil (Nancy) LaDuke, Roger (Kathy) LaDuke, Rene (Gray) Tillman, Roberta (Kevin) Wild, Randy (Sandy) LaDuke, Mary (Smitty) Smith, Annette (Fred) Tafuro, Alan (Barbara) LaDuke, Andy (Marianne) LaDuke and Scott (Theresa) LaDuke; dear sister of Alberta Weiss, Theodore Sauerbeck and the late Lorraine Dlouhy, Betty Plaskey, Delores Agnello and Sylvia Martin; proud grandmother of 29: Kelly (Jake) LaValley, Michelle (Luis) Pinedo and Mike (Jenalyn) LaDuke; Adam (Kristie) LaDuke, Jacqueline (Paul) Walters, David LaDuke and Jillian LaDuke; Jack Tillman and Tyler Tillman; Jason (Jennifer) Wild, Justin (Anne) Wild, Jeff Wild and Rachel (Braxton) Voss; Trisha (MG) Shapiro, Matthew Cohn and Austin LaDuke; Heather Smith (Darin), Clayton Smith and Haydon Smith; Maddie (Matt) Carey, Asher (Keri) Tafuro and Anthony Tafuro; Joshua LaDuke and Leah LaDuke; Drew LaDuke, Alex LaDuke, Parker Borbi and Grace Borbi; and Joel LaDuke; and great grandmother of 16: Dylan, Marcus and Xavier; Joaquin and Alessa; Daniel; Grace and Caroline; Reese, Aaron and Charlotte; Joseph Sliwa; Logan and Fineas; Rebekkah and Emily. Visitation Friday, July 7, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Rosary at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W 11 Mile Road (4 blocks E of Woodward), Royal Oak. In state Saturday, July 8, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass 10:00 a.m. at the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, Beverly Hills.
