Garry W. Ruebelmann Sr., a proud US Marine veteran, passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 80. Born on February 8, 1944, Garry was a man of strong values, steadfast beliefs, and an unwavering dedication to his family and Country. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Karen and his dear children, Garry Jr. (Jacque), Kim (Pat) Fletcher, Steven, and Kerrie (Robert) Nowicki. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Scott (Leah), Kelsey (Tim), Matthew, Stephanie (Tad), Luna, and Luke, and his great-grandchildren, Maci, Jessa, Lily, Brady, Bentley, Cody, and Dash. Garry is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Omah Ruebelmann. A stoic and resolute individual, Garry was known for his deep-seated passion for the things he believed in. Despite his stubborn nature, those who knew him best understood the depth of his kindness and the strength of his heart. Garry's unwavering support was the bedrock of his family, providing a foundation of love and stability that will endure through generations. Garry proudly served his country as a United States Marine, a testament to his patriotism and dedication. His love for classic cars, particularly his beloved 1956 burgundy Chevy Bel Air, was a reflection of his appreciation for timeless beauty and craftsmanship. For 27 years, Garry dedicated himself to the United Parcel Service, embodying the spirit of hard work and reliability. Beyond his professional life, he was a vibrant member of the American Legion as well as the Shelby Lions Club, where his leadership and commitment shined brightly. Garry's tenure as president of the club accentuated his dedication to service and community involvement. Garry W. Ruebelmann Sr. will be remembered as a man of great integrity, a pillar of strength for his family, and a passionate advocate for his beliefs. His legacy of love, dedication, and unwavering support will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 24, from 2-8pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall rd. (3Blks. E. of Van Dyke) in Utica. A visitation will be held at the funeral home the following day, Tuesday, June 25, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am.
