Harold E. Domagalski

Harold E. Domagalski, age 90, passed away peacefully at his home in Evart, Michigan on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou on May 11, 2011. Harold and Mary Lou married in 1949 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Royal, Oak, Michigan and celebrated 63 years of marriage at the time of her passing. Born in Warren Township, Michigan to the late Harold F. and Elizabeth C. (nee Jorissen) Domagalski, Harold and Mary Lou raised their family in Utica, Michigan. Upon his retirement, Harold and Mary Lou moved to Evart, Michigan and built a home on the Muskegon River. While living in Utica, Harold and Mary Lou were active members of various organizations at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Utica, Michigan. Once they made the move to Evart, they were supporters and became part of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Community in Evart, Michigan. For many years, Harold was a member of the K of C St. Lawrence Council #2950 and the Lions Club in Evart, Michigan. A retired bricklayer and proud member of Local Bac2 Union for more than 50 years, Harold spent his adult life at his trade. At retirement, he added wood working to his abilities, crafting numerous pieces for friends and family members ~ chairs, tables, shelves, bird feeders, bird houses, and many more. Harold and Mary Lou were parents to nine children -Christine (the late Gordon) Cook, Lynn, Gerald (Cynthia), Patrick (Carol), Raymond (Barbara), Gregory (Cheryl), Sandra (Mark) Denson and the late James and Janice. Proud grandfather of Cortland, Megan Stair, Jordan, Alexander, Drew, Braedn, Samantha, Kayla, Abigail and Benjamin Denson. Great grandfather of Maya. Brother of Mary McLean, Thomas (Kathryn), and the late Robert and Frank. Visitation Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 2:00 - 9:00pm with a prayer service 7pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. (3 blocks east of Van Dyke), Utica. Funeral service at the funeral home Monday, October 1, 2018 at 11:00am, Fr. Joseph Fix from Sacred Heart Church in Evart, Michigan will be officiating. Interment Christian Memorial Cemetery, Rochester Hills, Michigan.
