Henry W. " Hank" Scheper

Henry W. Scheper, a resident of Novi, Mi passed away on November 27, 2017 at the Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital,West Bloomfield , MI. Former resident of the Sterling Heights and Utica area. He was born on January 17th,1928; in Utica, Michigan to his late parents Henry F. and Else L. Scheper. Henry attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Utica High School as Valedictorian of the Class of 1945 and was a member of the "Dead Canaries Club". He graduated with Honors from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in BSEE and later was P.E. Certified. Served in the United States Army from 1950-52. Henry worked the family business where he later became President and Owner of Scheper Electric until his retirement in Utica, Michigan. He was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, serving as Chairman of the Congregation, President of the Church Building Committee, member of the Trinity School Board and Church Elder. He also served as a board member of the Sterling Heights Economic Development and Electrical Committee. He was an active member of the Utica Rotary Club, serving as President and receiving the distinguished "Paul Harris Award" with 35 years of perfect attendance. Member of NECA (National Electric Contractors Association) and a world traveler. Henry is survived by his loving spouse Corinne A. Scheper (nee Schwarzkoff ) whom he married on April 8, 1984. Dearest father of Robert Scott (Kim) Scheper, and Karen (Kevin) Jung. Proud grandpa to Dr. Heather (Brian) Henderson, Ken (Lyndsey) Jung, Leslie (Juan) Salinas, Jacquie (Dan) Prindle, Jeanine (Jason) Saghy, Ali (Peirsen) Forbes and Amy Jung. Beloved "OPA" great grandfather of Colin Henry Henderson, Olivia Grace Salinas, Christian Reinhold Henderson, Jaxon Robert Salinas, Kylie Marie Jung, and Claire Rosalyn Jung. He was preceded in death by his son Henry "Rick" Eric Scheper (1969), his wife Janet Scheper (1982) and his sister Irene I. (Donald) Dombroski (2017). Family will receive friends Friday, December 1st, 2017; from 2:00 p.m.until 9:00 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, (3 blocks east of VanDyke on the northside of Hall Road) Utica, Michigan. In state at 10:00 a.m. until his Funeral Service on Saturday, December 2, 2017; 11:00 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 45160 VanDyke, (one block north of Hall Road) Utica, Michigan, with Pastor Justin Krupsky officiating.
