John Cameron Beedle-Gee

John C. Beedle-Gee, 83, died of end stage renal disease and heart failure on April 19, 2026 while comfortably at home. He was born on October 16, 1942 at St. Mary's Hospital in Detroit, MI to Alastair H. Beedle and Marion L. (Beedle) Ries. John graduated from Royal Oak Kimball High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966 and later served in the U.S. Naval Reserves from 1980 to 1988. He was married to Nellene Leon from April 27, 1963 to February 29, 1984. He was then married to Pamela A. Gee from July 6, 1985 to present. They were able to celebrate 41 years of marriage together prior to his passing. John was a loyal member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Oakland County Genealogical Society, Royal Oak Masonic Lodge #551, and the Scottish Rite Club. In addition to his parents and stepfather, Stewart Ries, he is preceded in death by his brother George Ries and his sister, Kay O'Brien. John is survived by his sisters Merri Beth Ries of Prior Lake, MN and Maureen Earnest of Lubbock, TX; his wife Pam (Mason) Beedle-Gee of Bloomfield Hills; his daughter Nellena Beedle (Andreas Stollar) of Seattle, WA; his daughter Anastacia (Rusty) Findley and their children Wade, Shane, Jaemian, Faith, Dakota, and Raylynn of Tuscaloosa, AL; his son Cameron Beedle (Catherine Crosby) and their children Caleb, Franklin, and Crosby of Birmingham, AL; his son Jobriath (Jennifer) Gee and their children Jonas, Lucian and Elias of Harper Woods, MI; his daughter Breanna (Zachary) Martin and their children Trevor, Asa, Phoebe and Finn of Weston, WI; and his daughter, Kendra (Tim) Shook of Madison Heights, MI who are expecting their first child. He is also survived by his great-grandchild, and namesake, Jon Cameron Beedle as well as many loving brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be held at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. in Royal Oak from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, April 26, 2026 with Masonic honors at 7:00 pm. On Monday, April 27, 2026 there will be an additional hour of visitation at 10:00 am at Royal Oak First United Methodist Church, 320 W. Seventh St. in Royal Oak. The visitation will be followed by an 11:00 am worship service led by Rev. Jeff Nelson. Interment will take place at Acacia Park Cemetery located at 31300 Southfield Rd. in Beverly Hills with military honors. A light lunch will be held at the church when the family returns.
