Joseph F. Jeff Page, III

Joseph F. Page, III passed away October 6, 2014. He was the husband of Wendy Page of 47 years. Cherished father of Catherine Carrie Page Bach, Joseph F. Jay Page IV and Eric Page. Father-in-law to William Bach, Janet Page and Meggan Page. Grandfather of Henry age 9, Campbell age 6, Jack age 14, Allyson age 12, Annie age 8, Ava age 5, Madelynn age 7, Noelle age 4 and Lincoln age 4 months. Jeff served as President of the law firm of Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton, and P.C. since 2007. Jeff was an integral member of the law firm for more than 20 years. "He was tireless in his service to his clients and to the community," said Julius Giarmarco. "All of us at GMH consider it a privilege to have worked with him. He was a man of principle, integrity and optimism." Page was a member of the firm's Corporate Division, serving as Chairman of the Health Care Law Section. He received his law degree from The University of Michigan Law School and a BA from Princeton University. He was recognized by Martindale Hubbell AV rating, the highest ranking by peers for ethical standards and legal ability, as well as a Best Lawyer in America, US News & World Report Top Lawyer, Michigan Super Lawyers and D-Business Top Lawyer. Jeff served on the American Health Lawyers Association Board and the Michigan State Medical Society Task Force on Medical Legal Issues. Jeff was a retired Colonel in the United States Air Force. He joined the Air Force directly from ROTC at Princeton University and actively served as the Academy Liaison Officer until 2002. Through his service on the Vestry at Christ Church Cranbrook, Father Bill Danaher, Pastor said, "Jeff was a rare combination of principle, hopefulness and commitment to Christ Church. His pro bono work helping significantly challenged members was an inspiration to the entire congregation. He re-wrote the personnel policy while in the hospital, never giving it a second thought. His love and dedication to the music program will forever be remembered. "Nothing brought my father more joy than driving the grandchildren around the yard on the tractor, swinging them on the tree swing or tinkering in the shed on one of his "special" projects", said his daughter Carrie. He loved to drive his "famous old pick-up truck" on the weekends, always with his beloved Golden Retriever Zoe in the seat next to him. Jeff was an avid racquetball, tennis and golf enthusiast. He authored three novels under the pen name of Jeffrey Baldwin. Jeff will be remembered both personally and professionally, as a gentleman amongst gentlemen, ethical, principled and an eternal optimist. He was generous of spirit, always willing to assist, and whether with his children, grandchildren, prospective recruits, colleagues, clients or church members, he gave of himself tirelessly. Memorial donations may be made to: Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, the Wounded Warrior Project or The University of Michigan Law School Scholarship Program. Visitation will be held on Thursday and Friday evenings, October 9th and 10th, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at William Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Road 4 blocks E of Woodward, Royal Oak, MI 48067. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 11 th at 11 a.m. at Christ Church Cranbrook, 470 Church Road, Bloomfield Hills, MI 48304.
