June Marie Pawlaczyk 4/23/1923 - 6/28/2016 There are probably few hearts in which the sad news of today will not be received with the deepest and most sincere regret. June Marie Pawlaczyk, 93, of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Metamora, MI is gone. Amid the love of those she loved and those who loved her most, Grandma June whispered her goodbyes to her entire family and then closed her eyes for the last time on June 28, 2016. Elegant until the end, she embraced death bathed in the midday sun, delicately letting down those who pleaded for just a little more time with her. June was born in Portland, Maine on April 23, 1923 to Dorothy and George Thibodeau who both brought years of joy to her life. She boarded at The Convent Presentation of Mary in Stan Hope, Quebec where she had many good friends and served as editor of the school's newspaper publication. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Alfred George Pawlaczyk. Legend says that she met him while sliding down a theater banister and dropping into his arms. She stayed in his embrace for 65 years that were filled with passion, laughter, affection, friendships, children, and oh so many grandchildren. She loved music, stories, parties, movies, food, white lies, and all of the other indulgences that people so often forget to treasure. In terms of mothers, she was the best. As a grandma, she was legendary. At 93, she lived alone, paid her bills and shopped online, and maintained a very busy Facebook profile, picking up friends wherever she might go. And, she went everywhere. Whether at the Jupiter Inlet watching the boats ride in and out, or at a party with people half her age and younger until all hours in the night, June lived with enthusiasm and purpose but with a sense of refinement that up until her 93rd year can only be described as the quintessence of cool. To her family and friends, she will remain a constant reminder of how life can and should be lived. She is survived by her sister Pat Gannaway of Sandusky, MI, three children: Douglas (Maryann) Pawlaczyk, Metamora, MI; Jill (Ronnie) Stuben, Birmingham, MI; and Robyn (Craig) Lodeesen, Jupiter, FL, lots of nieces and nephews, eight grandchildren: Dougie (Deanna) Pawlaczyk, Kerrie (Ron) Sink, Danny (Erin) Pawlaczyk, Jodi (Eric) Brown, Shawn (Tracy) Stuben, Erin (Pablo Maurette) Lodeesen, Andrew (Ryann) Lodeesen, Ashley (Bryan Craig) Lodeesen; 17 great grandchildren: Dean, Danielle, Cody, Kyle, Gracie, Brody, Ryann, Wyatt, Sutton, Reagan, Peyton, Brooklyn, Dylan, Lauryn, Ashlyn, Jared, and Aiden, and one great-great granddaughter Addisyn. June's life is something her family and friends will celebrate with every memory they are so immensely fortunate to hold, but her absence will leave an indescribable emptiness in all who knew her. For this reason, her family invites you to join them as they memorialize this extraordinary woman at a visitation on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, July 2, 2016 from 10-11 a.m., and the Funeral Service on Saturday at 11 a.m. Both the Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at Wm.
