Linda S. White

Linda S. White, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on May 26, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Linda was born on May 10, 1957, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Roger and Barbara Ostlund. She was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kind heart, playful spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family. Linda was the loving wife of Steven White for over 42 years, a marriage built on trust, companionship, and shared dreams. Their bond was a source of inspiration to all who knew them, a testament to the power of love and commitment. As a mother, Linda was a nurturing force, guiding her daughter Jaclyn (Philip) Duveyoung through life's joys and challenges. Linda found immense joy in her role as a grandmother, doting on her grandchildren Cassidy and Colton with endless affection and warmth. She embraced her role as a matriarch with open arms, creating lasting memories that will be treasured by her family for generations to come. Linda was a dear sister to Debbie (Russ) Kish, Mary Jo (Guy) Hait, Robert (Jennifer) Ostlund, Cherie (Rick) Tinnen, David (Kathy) Ostlund, and the late Peter and Paul Ostlund. She shared a deep bond with her siblings, and their love and support were a constant source of comfort throughout her life. Linda's spirit will live on in the hearts of her many nieces and nephews, who adored their aunt and will forever cherish the memories they shared. In her leisure time, Linda found great joy in playing games and puzzles, challenging her mind and bringing laughter to those around her. She had a passion for shopping and could always be found exploring stores, searching for the perfect treasures. Linda also had a talent for bowling, and she relished the camaraderie and friendly competition of the sport. However, above all else, her greatest joy came from spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Whether it was reading stories, playing in the park, or simply enjoying quiet moments together, Linda's love for Cassidy and Colton knew no bounds. Visitation will take place on Thursday (June 1st) at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd. (3Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica, from 2pm - 8pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday (June 2nd) at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Christian Memorial Cemetery in Rochester Hill, Michigan. In honor of Linda's memory, memorial contributions can be made to Samaritan's Purse, an organization dear to her heart. Through these donations, Linda's legacy of compassion and kindness will continue to touch the lives of those in need. Linda S. White will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have known her. Her warm smile, loving nature, and joyful spirit will be forever cherished.
