Lorraine M. Sikorski

Lorraine M. Sikorski, a remarkable woman of elegance, strength, and deep faith, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 101. Born on March 31, 1923, Lorraine's life was a testament to resilience, style, and a profound love for those she held close. Lorraine is survived by her devoted daughter, Donna (Allen) Marshall. Her loving extended family, Allen's parents and sisters, who always made sure to include Lorraine and visited her regularly throughout the years. Her dear friends, Norma and Harry Blanche, along with their children and grandchildren, mourn the loss of a woman who was like family to them. She also leaves behind her nephew, Jay Sikorski, and great-nephew, William Sikorski. Lorraine was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Donald Sikorski, whose memory she cherished. Known for her impeccable style, Lorraine was always dressed to impress, with her makeup flawlessly applied, her hair perfectly done, and a dressy outfit to complete her look. Even at the age of 101, she continued to take pride in her appearance, embodying grace, and sophistication. Her enthusiasm for fashion extended to her impressive collection of shoes, each pair reflecting her unique taste and personality. Lorraine's catholic faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted collector of rosaries, each one symbolizing her deep connection to her faith. She was an avid supporter of her church, St. Louis Catholic Parish, in Clinton Township. She found joy and solace in her catholic practices, which provided her with strength during hardships she has faced throughout her life. A lover of travel, Lorraine's adventurous spirit took her around the world, yet she frequently returned to her hometown of Windsor, Canada. These visits to Windsor would always include a trip to the local casino on the itinerary, where she enjoyed the excitement and energy of the atmosphere. Lorraine was also known for her unique ability to read tea leaves, which many believe can offer insights into the future, personal guidance, or reflection on current circumstances. Above all, she was known for her generosity towards others. Lorraine's life was marked by her resilience and strength. She endured numerous challenges with grace and determination, encouraging those around her. Her generous and always glamorous spirit has left an indelible mark on all who knew her. The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of the medical professionals that were involved in taking care of Lorraine throughout her life, allowing her to reach the age of 101 years old, as well as Barbara Bommarito for her care and thoughtfulness friendship and delivering her weekly communion. Her dear caregiver/friend Karen Golembiewski, and last but not least, the caring staff at Church of Christ and Lynnette Marshall for always bringing her special treats. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1pm at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, in Clinton Township. Lorraine's family welcomes all who would like to attend. If you will be joining them at the cemetery, please arrive by 12:50pm where we will meet right inside the front gates before heading to the chapel. Immediately following services at the cemetery, the family would like to extend their invitation to a luncheon to celebrate Lorraine's life that will be held at the Fern Hill Golf Club, 17600 Clinton River Rd, in Clinton Township.
