Louis J. Bacsikin

Louis Jack Bacsikin, 93 years old, a longtime resident of Shelby Township, MI, has been called into the arms of our Lord on the 23rd day of March, two thousand twenty five. In the care facility of Regency at Shelby, in Shelby Township, MI, Louis departed this world peacefully all the while being supported and loved by his family members and friends. He was predeceased recently by his beloved wife, Anna L.(Parker) Bacsikin of 66 years. Louis was born on the 11th day of September, nineteen hundred thirty one in Detroit, MI to the late Jack and Elizabeth (Neumayer) Bacsikin being the oldest of 2 sons. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald (Charlotte) Bacsikin, and lived his childhood years in Ferndale, MI. Louis married his beautiful wife Ann in June 1958 and went on to make Shelby Township, MI, their lifelong family home. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, papa, great grandpa, uncle and friend. A Dad who will be greatly missed - He is survived by his 4 children, Carol (John) Bury, Trisha (Jerry) Zielinski, Jeffrey Bacsikin, and Dennis (Lisa) Bacsikin. He was a greatly loved and cherished Papa by his 7 grandchildren - Allie (Joe) Miller, Mackenzie (Jake) Wagner, Paige (Joe) Roebuck, Lucas (Kierstin) Bacsikin, Kirsten Zielinski, Joe Zielinski, and Brad (Jackie) Bury. He was the proud Great Grandpa to 6 loved great-grandchildren, Keegan, Kennedy, Ruby, Avery, John, and Elsie. He is also survived by special nieces and nephews - Scott (Norma) Bacsikin, Steve (Claire) Bacsikin, Nancy (Dean) Ruby, Kenny (Diana) Parker, Virginia (Jerry) Clauw, the late Larry Parker and the late Jerry Parker. In the early 1950's Louis joined the United States Marine Corps serving with distinction and honor. He was forever proud of the Marine Corps and has shared much camaraderie with fellow service members over the years. Louis spent his professional and working life at Cadillac Gage Company in Warren, MI where he was a supervisor, exhibiting a flawless work ethic. Louis was an avid hunter and fisherman, sharing his lifelong love and knowledge of the sports with his 2 sons, Jeff and Dennis, his grandchildren, family members and friends, always teaching and upholding the utmost sportsmanship. He was the captain of the A-Team and also the Crews Inn, along with his beloved first mate and wife, Ann, going on many successful fishing trips across Michigan along with many overnight trips with their grandchildren. Louis also enjoyed spending time in the coastal community of Perdido Beach, Alabama, with his wife and family. Most of all Louis loved his family and friends. He enjoyed spending time on his back deck while visiting with family and friends. He was overjoyed when his grandchildren and great-grandchildren came to visit. He was known for his meticulously kept yard, flowers, and garage. He enjoyed working on projects at his tool bench and kitchen table, being known for creating, labeling, and organizing things. He played the accordion for many years, playing for many special occasions. He enjoyed roadtrips to the casino for a fun day with his family. Dad, papa and dear friend - May you see the Big Bucks come out in the morning and evening hunt. May you be saying "Fish On" to your heavenly friends, and then hand them the rod like you always did, and teach them how to reel the Big one in. May you be rejoicing with your beautiful wife Ann. We will miss your joy, happiness, humor and love, and you always being happy to see us. In God's promise of eternal life, we take solace in knowing that one day we will meet again. We love you so very much and you will be greatly missed. Celebration of Life plans are pending at this time.
