Margaret E. St. Onge

Margaret E. St. Onge, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on June 7, 2023, surrounded by her family. Margaret's vibrant spirit and kind-hearted nature will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Margaret is survived by her children, William (Gayle), Ronald (Marlene), and Glen (Jeanne), her grandchildren, Angela (Mikey) Hayward, Monica (Matt) Van Sumer, William (Lisa), Carrie Cook, Heather (Christoff) Pretorius, Paul (Jamie) Cook, Ronald, Stephanie (Andrew) Dusenbury, Nicholas (Caitlin), and Joshua (Randi), her 14 great-grandchildren, and her dear friend, Cindy DeRouin. She was predeceased by her husband, William, her parents, Walter and Helen Cole, and her siblings, Alice, and Arnold. Margaret was a devoted wife to her late husband William, with whom she shared many beautiful years of love and companionship. Their bond was a shining example of true partnership and unwavering commitment. Margaret had a zest for life and enjoyed various activities. She was an avid bowler, finding joy and camaraderie in the sport. Margaret's love for food led her to savor the experience of dining out, relishing in the flavors and the company of loved ones. She was known as a social butterfly, effortlessly connecting with others, and making lasting friendships. Beyond her personal pursuits, Margaret was a dedicated member of her community. She was actively involved in the Tri-county Collie Rescue, extending her love and compassion to animals in need. Her involvement in the food pantry at Heritage Church showcased her selflessness and commitment to helping those less fortunate. Margaret's passion for service extended to her role as the former president of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, where she contributed her time and energy to support veterans and their families. In the hearts of those who knew her, Margaret will forever be remembered for her warm smile, infectious laughter, and genuine love for others. Her loss leaves a void in the hearts of her family, but her memory will forever be a source of strength and inspiration. A visitation will be held at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3Blks East of Van Dyke) Utica on Sunday, June, 11 from 3pm-7pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home the following day, Monday, June 12, at 11am. A Burial service at Christian Memorial Cemetery will take place immediately following the service.
