Marguerite Lillian "Peggy" (Blasco) Ragnoli January 5, 1961 - July 10, 2026 With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Marguerite Lillian Ragnoli, lovingly known to all as Peggy, on July 10, 2026. Surrounded by the family she cherished most, Peggy peacefully left this world, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, strength, and unwavering love. Born on January 5, 1961, to Charles and Sandra (Sailer) Blasco, Peggy grew up in Westland, Michigan alongside her four beloved siblings: Cindy (Alex) Baranyk, Julie (Mike) Scherrer, Tom Blasco, and Keith Blasco. The bonds formed during those early years remained treasured throughout her life. On November 25, 1988, Peggy married the love of her life, Paul Ragnoli. Together they built a marriage filled with devotion, friendship, laughter, and countless cherished memories for nearly thirty-eight wonderful years. Peggy's greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul; her "favorite" children Alexa (Allison) Aleksander, Andrea (Kevin) Clark, and Mike (Jodi) Robbe; her treasured grandchildren Bella, Lincoln, and Mia Clark, and Jonathon and Ava Robbe; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed to know her. Of all the titles she held in life, none brought her more pride than "Dotty." Given to her by her oldest granddaughter Bella, it became a name she carried with immense joy. Being Dotty meant story times, smiles, hugs, celebrations, and a love so deep that her grandchildren never had to wonder how much they meant to her. They were the light of her life, and one of her greatest blessings was having Bella, Lincoln, and Mia right next door for so many treasured years. She loved them to the moon and back. To know Peggy was to know warmth. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special. She loved gathering around a table with those she loved, whether it was at Mexican Village in Utica, sharing countless lunches with her daughters Alexa and Andrea, or enjoying favorite meals at DeLuca's in Westland, where the salad, fresh bread, and baked mostaccioli always felt like home. She appreciated life's simple pleasures, including a glass of fruit-especially her beloved sangria-shared among family and friends. Peggy found joy in cooking shows and possessed a remarkable talent in her own kitchen. She lovingly prepared meals that became family traditions, filling her home not only with wonderful aromas but with comfort, togetherness, and lasting memories. Her love of cooking was nurtured by her beloved mother-in-law, Mia "Nonie," who lovingly taught Peggy how to prepare cherished Italian dishes, passing down recipes and traditions that she would later share with her own family. As her daughter Alexa lovingly recalls, Peggy also did "the best laundry," a simple act that perfectly reflected the care she put into even the smallest ways of loving her family. She adored penguins, collecting them in decorations, keepsakes, and clothing that always seemed to bring a smile. She cherished her beloved Yorkies, who were constant companions through the years. She also treasured traveling, and among her favorite memories was a family trip to Italy-an adventure that brought heritage, family, and love of life together in a way she never forgot. Peggy faced a lifelong battle with Lupus with a quiet strength that inspired everyone who knew her. Though the disease was a constant part of her journey, it never defined her. Her resilience, grace, humor, and love for others shined far brighter than any hardship she endured. Anyone who knew Peggy likely heard one of her favorite sayings: "Rules are meant to be broken." It wasn't a call to recklessness, but rather a reminder to embrace life, make memories, take the lunch date, plan the trip, laugh a little louder, love a little bigger, and never miss an opportunity to spend time with the people who matter most. Peggy also had a wonderful sense of humor. One Christmas, her son-in-law Kevin gave her a shirt that proudly declared she was the mother-in-law of a "freaking awesome son-in-law" and, as the shirt jokingly noted, "yes, he bought me this shirt." Peggy laughed, wore it proudly, and made sure everyone knew she approved of the message. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind-in family dinners and holiday traditions, in the laughter of grandchildren, in the companionship of loved ones, and perhaps even in every penguin that catches our eye. Her love remains woven into the lives of all who knew her, a gift that time can never take away. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Charles "Chuckie Love" and Sandra Blasco, her in-laws Hank and Mia Ragnoli, and two of her brothers-in-law Scott Hermansen and Bob Ragnoli. In honor of Peggy's courageous lifelong journey with Lupus, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to the MI Lupus Foundation (www.milupus.donordrive.com/donate) to support research, treatment, and hope for future generations.
