Mary Ann (Hill) Pottenger July 27, 1949 - May 20, 2026 Mary Ann (Hill) Pottenger, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior on May 20, 2026 at 9:38 a.m., surrounded by her loving family. Born on July 27, 1949, to Harry and Mary Hill, Mary Ann was one of thirteen children in a large and loving family whose legacy continues through countless relatives, friendships, and generations touched by her life. There are simply too many loved ones to mention individually, and she would never have wanted anyone unintentionally overlooked. What mattered most to Mary Ann was that people knew they were loved - and anyone who met her knew exactly that. She loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. Mary Ann met the love of her life, Chuck (Charles) Pottenger, on a blind date on December 10, 1968. That single evening began a beautiful journey of faith, family, and devotion that lasted for 57 years. Together they built a life centered on love, perseverance, service to others, and unwavering commitment to family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Chuck; her three sons, Chuckie and his wife Christy, Robert and his wife Claudia, and Kevin and his wife Amanda; and her cherished grandchildren, April, Tyler, Eli, and Naomi. Among those who preceded Mary Ann in death were many beloved relatives, including her precious granddaughter, Sophie Lynne, who held a very special place in her heart and she prayed for everyday. Throughout her life, Mary Ann faithfully served in many capacities within her church, career, and community. Whether caring for family, encouraging others, helping quietly behind the scenes, or simply offering kindness to someone in need, her life reflected compassion, strength, humility, and enduring faith. Her warmth and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though her family grieves deeply, they rejoice in knowing that Mary Ann is now whole, at peace, and forever home with the Lord she faithfully loved and served. Her earthly body will be interred at All Saints Cemetery.
