Milos Samuel Saravolatz

Born March 8, 1948 in Detroit Michigan. Oldest son of Samual and Betty Saravolatz. Milos attended College at Wayne State University where he earned a degree in Business Administration while working in his father's grocery store in Detroit. In 1976 Milos started his own financial Services company that provided for his family from which he retired in 2020. Milos volunteered his time to his favorite charities by being a long-time president of his beloved church Ravanica in Detroit, Vice-President of the Mid-Western Serbian Orthodox Diocese, past president of Golden Circle Kawanis club in Shelby Township, and a Shriner in the Mason organization. For his dedication and generosity to his Serbian Orthodox Church, Milos was a recipient of the St. Sava medal awarded by Bishop Longin. Milos life changed in 1970 when he met the love of his life, Anne Loncar, during a Serbian Golf tournament in Windsor Ontario. In 1973 Milos and Anne set upon a 53-year adventure during which they created a beautiful home that raised three wonderful children. Milos' favorite things to do included spending time with his grandkids, his face would light up when he saw them and finding their tickle button, as he called it. Milos and Anne loved to vacation with the family at Canadian Lakes during the summer and find new things each year to search for in the woods, while finding time once a year to spend a vacation together at their favorite place on earth. Milos enjoyed working with his Kiwanis friends to support the older community around Shelby Township with medical equipment and support. But most of all Milos enjoyed golf, lots of his stories revolved around his friends from the golf league and that one shot each round that every golfer remembers. Milos leaves behind his wife Anne, daughter Dushanka (Vojo) Bojicic, son Sam (Liz) Saravolatz, four grandchildren, Saya, Shane, Zorka, and Milutin, two great-grandchildren, Milos and Mila. brother Lou (Yvette) Saravolatz with his family, sister Debbie (Dave) Saravolatz, and sister -in-law Milica Filipic with her family, and many cousins, Kumovi, and friends left to grieve his loss. Milos was proceeded in death by his daughter Annie, parents Samuel and Betty Saravolatz, in laws Mile and Stana Loncar, and brother in law Tim Filipic. Viewing for Milos will be at Sullivan and Sons Funeral home 8459 Hall Road in Utica, MI Sunday March 15th from 2-6 with a pomen service at 5:00pm officiated by Father Aleksandar Vujkovic. Milos will lie in state at St. Lazurus Church 4575 E. Outer Drive, Detroit, MI on Monday March 16th from 10:00 - 11:00 with the funeral service starting at 11:00am. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery following the funeral service. The family ask that all donations are made to either of his favorite charities Ravanica Church or Kiwanis Club of Shelby Golden K.
