Patricia Sue Meyer

Patricia Sue Meyer (née Parker), age 68, a longtime resident of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, in Troy, Michigan, having been called home to be with her Lord. Patricia was born on September 6, 1957, in Warren, Michigan, to the late James Richard and Betty June (née Lambert) Parker. She graduated from Utica High School in 1976 where she proudly served as a member of the school’s cheerleading team. She dedicated over ten years of service to FedEx, working in the shipping and receiving department, where she was known for her reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to the company, even having some adventures in the sky along the way. Patricia was a faithful and longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Utica, where she lived out her faith through worship, fellowship, and generous volunteer service. Her love for God was reflected in the kindness, patience, and compassion she showed to others. Patricia enjoyed a full and vibrant life. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and found joy in gardening, boating, and bowling. In her younger years, she also enjoyed playing softball and played on multiple teams. Through every season of life, she carried a grateful heart and a joyful spirit. She married the love of her life, Gary C. Meyer, and together they shared many blessed years until his passing in 2021. Patricia was a devoted and loving mother to her children, Lindsey Meyer and Matthew (Jillian Gajewski) Meyer, and a proud grandmother to her beloved grandson, Mason, whom she considered one of God’s greatest gifts. Patricia is survived by her children and grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her parents; and her brothers, James (Kim) Parker, John Parker, and Douglas Parker. Sister Sue is finally reunited with her brothers lovingly know as Huey, Dewey and Louie. Above all else, Patricia treasured time spent with her family and friends—especially moments shared with her grandson, who brought her endless joy and laughter. She trusted in God’s promises and found comfort in her faith, which guided her throughout her life. Patricia will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her unwavering faith, gentle spirit, the lives that she touched and the love that she so willingly gave to others. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Patricia's life with a visitation at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Rd (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica on Friday,January 16, 2026 from 2-8pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Trinity Lutheran Church 45160 Van Dyke, Utica, Michigan with family and friends gathering at 10am until time of service 11am.
