Paul C. Picio II

Paul C. Picio II, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 29, 1944, Paul lived a full and meaningful life defined by devotion to family, a deep appreciation for the outdoors, and a passion for the simple joys that brought him happiness. Paul is survived by his beloved wife of over 61 years, Linda K. Picio, whose lifelong partnership was the foundation of his world. He was a proud and loving father to Matthew (Kristi) Picio, Theresa (Danny) Grabowski, and Wendy-Lynn (Adrian) Paich. His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Tim, Alyx, Christina, Simon, and Owen, who brought him immense pride and joy. He is also survived by his siblings, Barbara (Ron) Doll and Mike (Linda) Picio, and his sister-in-law, Dawn Paul-Picio. Paul will be fondly remembered by his many cousins, nieces, and nephews as well. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eleanore Picio; his brother, Phil Picio; his brother-in-law, Joe Peraino; and his dear grandchild, Aaron Compton. A man who found peace and purpose in the outdoors, Paul loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. He took great pride in caring for his yard and could often be found outside, tending to it with patience and dedication. He had a talent for woodworking and a lifelong fascination with trains, a passion that never faded. He also had a special place in his heart for his pets, who were constant companions throughout the years. Above all, Paul cherished his family and loved spending his time with them. His quiet strength, steady guidance, and enduring love will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were lucky enough to know him. A visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 2-8pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. (3blks. E. of Van Dyke) in Utica. A funeral mass will take place the following day, Monday, April 27, 2026, with instate at 9am until the time of the mass at 10am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica rd. in Utica. Paul will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
