Paul Rambo September 27, 1948 ~ February 26, 2025 Paul Rambo, of Detroit, Michigan, gained his wings peacefully on February 26, 2025, at the age of 76. He was born on September 27, 1948, in Bay Springs, Mississippi, to Odessa and Lee Rambo. Paul was one of 16 children, growing up in a large and loving family that shaped his strong values of hard work, resilience, and kindness. At an early age, Paul accepted Christ as his Savior at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church in Bay Springs, Mississippi. After moving to Detroit in 1968, he attended New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church and Word of Faith International Christian Center, where he continued to grow in his faith. Paul was a saved, God-fearing man who exemplified the love and teachings of Christ throughout his life. Paul worked at Chrysler for 38 years, dedicating himself to his career and making a lasting impact on those he worked with. In 1986, he met the love of his life, Diedre, and together they created a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Paul had a passion for lifes simple joys. Whether he was shooting pool, casting a line while fishing, chasing a good lottery number, or knocking down pins at the bowling alley, he always found a way to bring fun and excitement to those around him. Above all, Paul was a storyteller"he could recall even the smallest details of past events, weaving them into tales that captivated those who listened. His remarkable memory and vivid recollections left an indelible mark on his family and friends, who will always treasure the stories he shared. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Odessa and Lee Rambo, and his siblings Velma Rambo, Robert Rambo, Albert Lee Rambo, Rose Rambo, Delores Rambo, and Marie Rambo. He is survived by his loving wife, Diedre; his children, Odessia Rambo and Ricardo Williamson Sr ( Dequindre Williamson ).; his grandchildren, Rí-Mya Williamson, Christopher Miller, and Ricardo Williamson Jr.; his siblings Lela Cry (Larry Cry), MacAuthor Rambo (Modine Rambo), Author Ray Rambo (Maybette Rambo), Desiree Smith (Lyn Smith), Annie Rambo, Lula Thomas(Steve Thomas), Pauline Rambo, Troy Rambo (Pam Rambo), and David Rambo; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss him dearly. The funeral service for Paul will be held on Wednesday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Word of Faith International Christian Center, 20000 W. Nine Mile Rd., Southfield. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Clinton Township.
