Ralph Cavalier Jr., born on April 2, 1934, passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 90. A devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend, Ralph touched the lives of all who knew him with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love for family. He is survived by his loving son, Ralph (Jodi) Cavalier III, his dear siblings, Patricia (Tom) Riley and Claudette (Jim) Kincaid, his cherished grandchildren, Alexis (Luke) Niewoit and Alaina (Derek Philippi) Cavalier, and his precious great-granddaughter, Everleigh. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joyce Cavalier, his cherished son, David Cavalier, his brother, John cavalier, as well as his parents, Ralph Sr. and Julianne Cavalier. A proud Navy veteran, Ralph served his country with honor, embodying the strength and dedication that he carried throughout his entire life. Following his time in the military, he built a successful career with Ford Motor Company, dedicating 35 years of hard work and commitment before his well-earned retirement. Beyond his career, Ralph was a man who knew how to enjoy life. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially hunting and fishing-activities that brought him both peace and adventure. He appreciated his home up north on the lake, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the warmth of family. Him and Joyce loved the thrill of the casino, finding joy and excitement in playing slot machines. His love for life extended to the relationships he built, always treasuring time spent with his closest companions. More than anything, Ralph was a family man, nothing brought him more happiness than time spent with his family. He adored his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter, always putting them first and ensuring they felt his love and support. His home was filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable memories that will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. His wisdom, humor, and kindness made him the pillar of his family, and his absence leaves a void that will be dearly missed. His family finds comfort in knowing that he lived a full and meaningful life, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 2-8pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd, (3blks. E. of Van Dyke) in Utica. Visitation will continue at the funeral home the following day, Monday, March 3, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am. A burial will take place immediately following the funeral service at Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Rd, in Clinton Township.
