Robert H. Brzezinski Sr.

Robert Hugh Brzezinski Sr., ( aka: Tough Guy ) age 79, had passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family, on the 7th of July, 2017 at 7:07 pm at his home in Sterling Heights , Michigan . He was born on February 20th, 1938 in Dearborn, Michigan to Edmund (Deceased) and Eleanor (Janeczko) (Deceased) Brzezinski. Bob grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his schooling at Cody High School and worked as an auto mechanic, as well as in a body-shop; painting and detailing cars. He spent his free time competing as a Semi-Pro Boxer. Bob was a member of the National Rifle Association for 64 years as a Pro- Marksman which he received his certification in 1953 and maintained till recently. He obtained his pilots licence from McKinley School of Aviation in 1963 and purchased his plane the "Skylark" which he really enjoyed flying. He spent countless hours on his motorcycle. In His Mid 20's he owned and operated a Marathon station which allowed him the opportunity to feed his passion of fast cars. This Love and knowledge of speed lead him to many hours racing his 57 Chevy on the track and in his later years doing the same with Rails. In 1964 he married Anita the love of his life. They were married for 52 years. In 1973 he moved his family to Sterling Heights, Michigan where he began a new chapter in his professional career and family life as an over the road truck driver. Shortly there after, he opened his own company, R.H.Brzezinski and Sons Trucking which he owned and operated for 20 plus years. During these years he enjoyed taking us with him on the road, being a member of the Knights of Columbus for 45 years, he spent time enjoying his rose gardens, hunting with his boys and many friends, Fishing on his boat and taking Tae-Kwon-Do classes with his baby girl, together they succeeded as 1st degree black belts. Our Dad always enjoyed time spent with his family and friends although, his greatest joy was the time spent with his wife Anita. Traveling together in his semi truck, going up north, camping trips, afternoons at the casino, playing cards or dice and winning, the trips to Nashville, Niagara Falls, Toronto and endless hours just being together. She was with him every step of the way without fail. The Love they shared was endless. Bob was proceeded in death by his parents Edmund and Eleanor (Janeczko) Brzezinski, his pet Sam and his closest friends. Bob is survived by his spouse Anita Brzezinski ( Sosnowski ) of Sterling Heights, Michigan; his sons Robert H. Brzezinski Jr. ( Port Huron, Michigan ), James Matthew Brzezinski Sr. (Sandi) ( Canton, Michigan ) his daughters Bernadette (Richard) Jacques (Ray Twp, Michigan) and Lucille Marie (Kevin) Sanborn of Romeo, Michigan; Proud Grandfather to; Jimmy Jr., Anita, Jessica, Samantha, Darrin, Krystal, David, Daniel, Courtney Rose, Sarah Jane, Lindsay Lu and Christopher Lawrence. Great Grandfather of; Alexis, Jacob, Jayce, Remi, Mason, Chase, Zoey, Alexandria, George V, Makayla and Jamir. Dear brother of Shirley ( the late Raymond ) Clark and Delores (Gary) Gubacz and many nieces and nephews that were loved dearly. Visitation will be take place at the Wm Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall rd. (3 Blocks east of Van dyke ) Utica, Michigan on Thursday (July 13th ) from 1pm-9pm. A rosary service will take place at 6 pm; lectured by Chere Bernhard (Sanborn) followed by a memorial service and prayer at 6:30 pm by Pastor Gary Beecher. Visitation will continue Friday (July 14th) 10am until the time of service at 11am in the chapel at the Wm Sullivan and Son Funeral Home. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
