Stefanie Jackson

Stefanie Jackson, a resident of New Hudson, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the age of 55. A daughter of John and Freda Jackson, she was born on May 29, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan. Stefanie graduated from Detroit Central High School in 1988 and later took classes at Henry Ford College in pursuit of a nursing degree. Over the years, she served her community in a variety of roles, including as a caregiver, truck driver, and operator of trash removal vehicles. She also worked in pesticide and lawn fertilization, transported veterans to VA hospitals, and was always willing to lend a hand where needed. Stefanie was deeply family-oriented and loved bringing everyone together, especially over home-cooked Southern meals. She took pride in her cooking and enjoyed hosting family dinners. She also loved reading her Bible, driving, watching Lifetime movies, working on puzzles, and indulging in a little retail therapy. Traveling was one of her favorite pastimes. Stefanie was known for her strong work ethic, her attention to detail, and her commitment to keeping a clean and organized home. No matter how long her workday was, she always found the energy to care for her children and cook a meal for her family. She prioritized the needs of her parents as well. Above all, Stefanie worked tirelessly to create a better life for her children and those around her. Her warmth, drive, and devotion will be remembered with deep love and gratitude. Loving mother of Wynter J. Pitts, Jason D. Pitts, and Tamayor L. Pitts. Cherished grandmother of Yuri I. Tucker/Myles, Nova Y. Myles, Sy'Aire Y. Myles, and J'Tier D. Myles. Beloved daughter of John D. Jackson. Dear sister of Darryl Jackson, Harold Jackson, and Duane (Thalia) Jackson. Close friend and chosen sister of Roxsand Taylor-Dobson. Also survived by her nieces, nephews. aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. A Visitation for Stefanie will be held on Friday, June 13, from 11:30 am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 pm at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (4 blks.
