Vita Clow

Vita "Vera" Clow (Consiglio), age 92, of Saint Clair Shores, Michigan was a force of nature. She was best known for her resiliency, independence, and straight-to-the-point sense of humor. Born on July 1, 1932 to parents from Sicily, she grew up in Detroit during the Great Depression and World War II. She and her husband moved to Roseville, then settled in St. Clair Shores, where they raised their family. As her kids grew up and had children of their own, she loved having the role of the family's matriarch- even hosting holiday gatherings at her house into her 80s. She loved her independence and took great pride in it. She strived to maintain it and always kept moving. Even at the age of 92, some of her favorite ways to spend her time were cooking, taking care of her home, and gardening. Right up to the very end, she enjoyed a good puzzle, word searches, and staying up on the news. More than anything though, she enjoyed spending time with the people she loved. She was the proud mother of Denise (Dave) Dubauskas, Dennis (Cindy) Clow, and Darris (Audrey) Clow, cherished grandmother of Nicole and Amanda Dubauskas, Danielle (William) Goward, Brianna (Joe) Walker, Jessica (Aleks) Jensen, and Màiri and Calum Clow, great-grandmother of 13 great-grandchildren, and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dennis "Bud," her parents, Stephanie and Joseph, and five of her siblings. She is also survived by her siblings, Joseph and Josephine. She passed away peacefully at home with the loving support of her family on February 22, 2025. Visitation Friday, February 28th from 2:00 - 8:00 pm with a 7 :00 pm Scripture Service at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica. Funeral Mass Saturday March 1st 10:30 am instate until time of the Mass 11:00 am at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church 2600 Harvard Road Berkley.
