William J. Rossbach

William John Rossbach, 72 of Warren Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Bill was born December 31, 1950 to Joyce and Jack Rossbach in Royal Oak, MI. He was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather. Bill married his "sweetie pie" Maria Agnes Rossbach in 2007. Bill had seven beautiful children Angie, Jodi (Kelly), Dottie, Tricia, Billy Jr (McKayla), Vhyness, and Shane. He had 10 wonderful grandchildren Kelsey, Devaun, Gaiya, Sabre, Rio, Oaklyn, Domanick, Tyler, Kaylinn, Eden, Noah and Ryan and 4 great-grandchildren Hunter, Harper, Hudson and Hayden. Bill was third youngest of seven children, Shirley Fox, Virginia Glinka (the late Ed) Janet Hacker (Chris), Michael Rossbach (Maria) and is preceded by his parents Joyce and Jack Rossbach, and siblings Georgia (the late Edward) Schwartz and Gary Rossbach (Nada). Throughout his youth, he enjoyed spending time with his siblings, especially going swimming and taking canoe trips. Bill achieved and was honored to hold the title of an Eagle Scout. He graduated from Dondero High School in 1969. Bill was known for his love of sports. Hockey and Baseball were his favorites. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, he loved camping, and being "king of the grill". Nothing was more beautiful than his garden in bloom, buzzing with hummingbirds. As an avid gardener, he was always boasting about his coleus and Iris collections. Bill spent his free time being a "big kid" laughing and enjoying times with his children and grandkids. Never missing his family's games/activities or a chance for a stout beer and a hockey game at the end of his day. In 1974 Bill began his love for working with his hands as a Machinist in the auto industry, he was always very dedicated to his craft. He would often work overtime, 6 days a week with a smile on his face to be sure his family was all cared for. He had retired just two months ago. Later in life Bill was proud to receive his associate's degree at Macomb community college. He always was the first to offer a helping hand to friends and family with side household projects. Bill will be greatly missed by so many friends and family. Please join us in celebrating "Wild" Bill's life. Come as you are but feel free to wear flannel or yellow to honor him. Visitation Tuesday, March 14th 2:00 - 8:00pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (4 blocks east of Woodward), Royal Oak. Funeral service Wednesday, 11:00am at the funeral home. Service will be held by pastor Eric Shanburn, luncheon to follow.
