Barbara "Jo" Hughes (nee Puhalo), age 87, resident of Sterling Heights, passed on Saturday, January 29, 2022 in Shelby Township, Michigan. Born on September 9, 1934 in Iron Mountain, Michigan to the late Stephen and Anna Puhalo. Barbara "Jo" is a member of Christ Lutheran Church Sterling Heights where she volunteered her time and talents, she loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved wife of 66 years to Robert E. Hughes. Loving mother of Shawn Panek, Kim Gray-Cichy, and David (Robin) Hughes. Proud grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter on the way. Dear sister of the late Teddy Puhalo, and Millie Capone.
