Clara DePyper (nee DeWielemacker), age 98, resident of Armada and formerly of Macomb Township, Michigan. passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 in Armada. Clara was born on April 27, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Cyril and Valentine (nee VanPaemel) DeWielemacker. For over 60 years Clara and her late husband Marcel, tended to their family farm in Macomb Township, on 24 Mile Road between Hayes and Romeo Plank. On the farm they would grow produce, which Clara would pack up, drive down to Eastern Market. She often mentioned that working the farm was hard work and contributed to her longevity. A member of the Belgian Cultural Center Card Club. Beloved wife of the late Marcel DePyper. Loving mother of Jean (Arthur) Bingham and the late Robert. Proud grandmother of Lisa (Joe) Wood, Kathleen (Aaron) Rash, and Christine Bingham. Dear great-grandmother of Amber, Tricia, Ryan, Shayanna, Damien, Nevaeh, Christopher, Hugo, Skylar, and Enid. Caring great-great-grandmother of Jayden, Lexie, Natti, and one great-great-grandchild on the way. Sister of Beatrice (the late Lee) McDonald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. **Due to COVID-19, and in accordance with CDC recommendations and the Governor's Executive Orders, please be advised that the funeral home is limited to 25 people in the visitation/service room at any given time, please be mindful of your time at the funeral home as there may be others that may be waiting to pay their respects. Also, masks are required to enter the building Visitation will be held at the Wm Sullivan and Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) Utica, Monday, February 1, from 11am- 1pm. A private family funeral service will be held, due to COVID restrictions. The services will be lived streamed.
