Douglas A. Shepard

January 23, 1953 - January 18, 2022

Douglas Alan Shepard of Centerline, Michigan, passed away peacefully at age 68 from natural causes on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. Doug was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 23, 1953. He graduated from Grosse Pointe North High School, and went on to earn a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan and a Master of Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University. Doug was a life-long bachelor known to be dedicated to his career and to his cats. He prided himself on his knowledge of the automotive industry and on automobiles in general. He maintained a life-long interest in diverse activities including guitar playing, website design, card playing, slot car racing, hydroplane racing, bowling, real estate, and pinball. His absence will be felt deeply by all who knew him and he will be missed dearly. Doug was predeceased his parents Shirley and Roger. He is survived by his brother Stephen (Barbara), sister Susan (Larry Johnstal) niece Emily, nephew Ross, his cousin John (Sara) and his beloved cat, Whitey. Doug was buried in a private service at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
