Frances Irene Smith

Frances Irene Smith, of Clinton Township, passed away on January 12, 2022 at the age of 74. Frances was the cherished wife of the late Dennis; the loving mother of Deborah (Vernon) Bachman; Don (Honey) Wilmoth; Cynthia (Marty) Surmann; the adored grandmother of Christopher (Jennifer) Bachman, Shannon Bachman, Michael (Carrie) Wilmoth, Jon (April) Wilmoth, Ashlee (Tyler) Weston, Chad Hilgendorf, Justina Hilgendorf, Allison Surmann, and Ashley Surmann; the dear great-grandmother of 19; the beloved sister of Jim (Carole) Chapman, Ann (Larry) Fenner, the late Joe (survived by Eileen) Chapman, Jack (Carol) Chapman, the late Kathy Walczak; and her dear cat, Betty Boop. Frances is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Frances greatly loved her family. She also was an avid outdoorswoman; she enjoyed hunting and fishing. Frances' family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, January 15, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with her funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica.
