Frank James Skvarce

October 5, 1942 - August 2, 2021

Frank James Skvarce, a resident of Sterling Heights, passed away on August 2, 2021 at the age of 78. A son of Frank and Vivian (nee McNamara), he was born on October 5, 1942. Frank grew up in Dearborn, Michigan where he met and married his high school sweetheart Dianna with whom he celebrated 56 years of marriage. He had a tender heart for those in need, which prompted him to pursue a Master's Degree in Education from Eastern Michigan University and specialized in teaching students with physical and other health impairments. He pursued this love of teaching for 37 years within the Pontiac School District. Frank's passions in life were his family and fishing. His greatest joys were his time with his grandchildren and his bi-annual fishing trips with the boys. Each grandchild felt his/her importance in his life. He was a loving husband, a wonderful father/brother, and a devoted Papa. Beloved husband of Dianna, joined in love on November 28, 1964. Loving father of Kelly (Daryl) Allison of Macomb, Frank (Rebecca) Skvarce of Sterling Heights, and Michael (Laura) Skvarce of Clinton Township. Cherished grandfather of Ashley (Austin) Puckett, Emily (Stephen Charron) Skvarce, Jeffrey Allison, Frank J. Skvarce, Mary Skvarce, Sara Skvarce, and Hannah Skvarce. Treasured great-grandfather of Bailey Puckett. Dear brother of Robert (Christine) Skvarce of Algonac. A memorial gathering for Frank will be held on Thursday, August 5, from 11:00 a.m. until time of his Memorial Service at 12 Noon Trinity Lutheran Church, 45160 Van Dyke Avenue, Utica, MI 48317.
