Gertrude Ann Geiger

Gertrude "Pat" Ann Geiger, age 92, passed away on March 23, 2021. She was born on March 8, 1929 in Detroit to Walter Reinhold Kleinschmidt and Gertrude Elizabeth Schneider Kleinschmidt. Pat graduated from Providence Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse in her early years. She married Wendell Geiger II on February 3, 1951 at Our Lady of Grace Church in Dearborn. Pat was known as the family and neighborhood nurse, always care giving and lending a hand in child care when called upon. She will be most remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother. Beloved wife of the late Wendell J. Geiger, II. Loving mother of Mary Bybee (the late Parnell Baker and the late William Bybee), Frances (Thomas) Tucker, Carol (Paul) Edward, Maureen (Peter) Edward, Rosemarie (Richard) Kay, Mark (Mary) Geiger, Chuck (Michael Anderson) Geiger, Judy (Joseph) Zeolla, David (Kathy) Geiger the late Wendell Geiger III and Karen Geiger. Proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Donald Kleinschmidt. Graveside committal will be 11 am Monday at White Chapel Cemetery.
