James Nimety

June 26, 1956 - February 11, 2022

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of James Nimety on February 11, 2022 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was 65 years old. An avid boater, dedicated and successful salesman, and devoted husband and father, Jim was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 26, 1956 to parents Ann Scharmen and Joseph Nimety. When not working on home remodels, Jim could be found at Belle Maer Marina, or in the cottage Up North, always working on a project. He forged deep, meaningful relationships with his co-workers at Henry Schein, as he had been with the company throughout its lifetime for 39 years. Friends and extended family describe Jim as a mentor, partner, father-figure, and "always willing to help" repair equipment or work on a home improvement project. Jim died surrounded by his wife, Patricia Nimety and two sons, Joel and Corey Nimety. In addition to his children, Joel, Corey, Tracey Elezi, and Chip Boone, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren, Jim is survived by a very large, blended and extended family, all who deeply mourn this loss: · His sister Joann Bierkamp of Warren, MI (4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren) · His brother Joseph Nimety, and wife Geraldine Nimety of Chesterfield, MI (3 grandchildren) · The Scharmen family of Sterling Heights, MI and Marion, IL · The Kippert family of Liberty Hill, TX · The Nimety family of Leander, TX · The Yaworski family of Deland, FL · The Besonen family of Warren, MI and Longmont, CO · The Nimety family of Chesterfield, MI · The Lacey family of Tamarac, FL · The Elezi family of Wayne, MI · The Boone family of Wayne, MI · The Pollington family of Willis, MI · The Pollington family of Wyandotte, MI · The Listman family of Westland, MI A memorial reception will be held at Ike's Restaurant, 38550 Van Dyke Ave. in Sterling Heights, MI on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm.
