Janice Ringel Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janice Ringel, of Sterling Heights, passed away on January 24, 2021 at the age of 83. She is now walking with her husband and son in Heaven. Janice enjoyed traveling. Her love of traveling came from her time as a flight attendant with Northwest Airlines. She adored her church, St. Lawrence Catholic in Utica where she often volunteered her time with the Altar Society and with Stephen's Ministry.She truly enjoyed spending time at her "chalet" in Alpena where she felt peace and spent time with the Lord. She also enjoyed her time at the casino. Janice always wanted to be part of the fun and laughter, no matter where she was or who she was with. She also appreciated animals, and had a special place in her heart for her dogs. Janice is the cherished wife of the late James Ringel; the beloved mother of Anne (Steve) Hamlin, Rachelle (Jeff) Martin, Daniel Ringel and the late Christopher Ringel; the loving grandmother of Ashley Ropes, Kyle Hamlin, Keylie Hamlin, Mark Martin, Joe Martin, Tom Martin, and Luke Martin, and the dear sister of Bettie Loser; including many nieces, nephews and cousins. **Due to COVID-19, and in accordance with CDC recommendations and the Governor's Executive Orders, please be advised that the funeral home is limited to 25 people in the visitation/service room at any given time, please be mindful of your time at the funeral home as there may be others that may be waiting to pay their respects. Also, masks are required to enter the building. Janice's family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service at 6:00 p.m.. Her funeral mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church 44633 Utica Road, Utica, instate from 9:15 a.m. until the time of her mass at 10:00 a.m..
