Johanna Hanselman

March 18, 1929 - April 2, 2022

Johanna Hanselman, age 93, of Shelby Township (formerly of Washington Township), passed away on April 02, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Hanselman. Loving mother of Alan (Claudia), Timothy (Donna), Gary (Pam), Thomas (Janice), Kenneth (Lisa), and Susan (Hank) Keller. Proud grandmother of Daniel, Michael, Andrew, Jeffrey, Steven, Lindsey, Kyle, Caleb (Keller), Kristofer, and Olivia; and great-grandmother of eight. She is predeceased by her brother John Guezen. Johanna was a devoted homemaker who, along with her husband, successfully raised six children. Raising her children was her full-time job, but Johanna also spent many years working as a secretary with Metropolitan Life and Dale Office Products. She also had a strong faith and was very active in her church-most recently First Baptist Church of Washington, MI, where she played the piano for Sunday school, was in a ladies quilting group, and enjoyed helping out in the office. Visitation will take place on Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. until time of service, 11:00 a.m., at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Rd. (3 blocks east of Van Dyke), Utica. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. Burial will take place at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township.
