John Siemen

September 7, 1946 - March 21, 2022

John Messmore Siemen, a resident of Utica, Michigan peacefully passed away on March 21, 2022, at the age of 75. John is the cherished husband of 51 years to Laura; the loving father of Melissa (Matthew) Cole, Jared (Valerie) Siemen, and Adam (Suzzette) Siemen; the adored grandfather of Zachary Bernardi, Julia Bernardi, Madeline Cole, and Kelsey (Brandon) Rice; and the dear great-grandfather of Spencer, Evalynn, and Lincoln. John proudly taught in the Utica Community School District for 39 years, where he shared his passion for history, and utilized his degree in counseling by helping and encouraging students and faculty. He was actively involved in his community of Village Square Co-Operative where he served 32 years on the Board of Directors. John's positivity and humor inspired those around him, and always offered a sense of love, joy, and comfort. Private services will be held by John's family.
