Patricia Allan

January 26, 1964 - March 16, 2022

Patricia Ann Allan, a resident of Waterford, passed away on March 16, 2022 at the age of 58. A daughter of the late James and Evelyn Allan, she was born on January 26, 1964 in Royal Oak. Patty made her career as a pharmacy tech for Costco Wholesale, but in the years past she devoted her time at Henninger Corp and Mickey Shore and stayed in contact with her coworkers long after she left. The only thing larger than Patty's smile was her charismatic personality. A social butterfly, Patty treasured making new friends and catching up with old ones. It was inspiring how she could always keep in contact with so many people. Patty was instantly loved by those around her and she loved everything about them. Her heart was huge and she gave without a second thought- donating anonymously to every Go Fund Me page she came across and never missing a chance to send a birthday gift. Patty enjoyed good food and even better company- she particularly enjoyed eating at El Asador restaurant and Sunday morning breakfasts with her friends. Always an adventurer, she camped, kayaked, and soaked up the sun with family at "Patty's Beach" on Elizabeth Lake. Patty would gather a group of family or friends for epic road trips - some of her favorite places were Myrtle Beach, Smokey Mountains, Empire, Higgins Lake and cliff jumping into Lake Superior. An avid equestrian, Patty took riding lessons and explored the trails. She always wanted a horse of her very own. Patty's love of animals included dogs, too- she could recognize almost any breed. Patty's daughter, Emma, was the center of her world. When Emma enrolled in college, she fulfilled Patty's dream for her. Nothing was more important to her than her Scottish roots, one of her favorite memories was her trip to Scotland and enjoyed going to the Highland games every year. Patty loved surrounding herself with family, especially her nieces and nephews and kept in contact with her cousins all over the globe. She will be missed by so many friends and family. Proud aunt to Shannon, Chris, Lisa, Matt, Robert, Nolan, Evan, Scott, Kim, Shawn, Kristin, Jacob, Robin, Jordan, Breanne, Patrick and Sara. Cherished great-aunt of fourteen. Doting owner of Tucker the Lab/Husky mix. A visitation for Patty will be held on Friday, March 25, from 2 pm-8 pm with funeral service 5 pm at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Directors, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. (4 blocks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak, 48067. Patty will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
