Patricia A. Gannaway

June 9, 1930 - March 9, 2022

Patricia Gannaway, 91 years young, of Sandusky, MI (Utica) was surrounded by her loving family as she peacefully passed on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 in Troy, MI. Mom was born June 9, 1930 to George and Dorothy Thibodeau in Newport, VT. She attended Catholic boarding school for 12 years and would later move to Michigan to live with her sister June Pawlaczyk (2016), and then meet the man of her dreams! Mom was the beloved Wife of the late Shelton Gannaway (2005), whom she missed terribly. She was the proud Mother of Eric (Sue) Gannaway and Shellay (Dave) Cremen. Mom loved bragging about her 6 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren (1 on the way) and her 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Mom was known for her beautiful singing voice. She started singing at an early age, and would even sing on the radio. She continued singing into adulthood, mostly in her church. She loved to throw parties or have the girls over for lunch. She had a good sense of humor, and a generous heart. Mom had much love for her family, friends and church family at Open Door Missionary Church in Sandusky. But most of all, her love for the Lord was her priority. She never missed an opportunity to share how much He meant to her, and how He changed her life. Today, Mom is with her Savior in Heaven, and reunited with Dad. We miss her so, and know that we too, one glorious day, will see her again.
