Patricia Hayes

January 7, 1940 - February 26, 2022

Patricia Ann Hayes (nee McGill), resident of Royal Oak, passed away February 26, 2022 at the age of 82. Dear daughter of the late James and Margaret McGill. Beloved wife of the late Ted. Adored mother of the late Deborah. Loving sister of Carol Ranspach and the late Jack, Jim, George, and Dennis McGill. Cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. Patricia dedicated her life to education, working in Royal Oak Public School system for over 30 years. During her time serving the community she spent her time as an administrative secretary. She enjoyed spending time with her former colleagues. In her earlier years, she moved to California where she met her husband Ted, and had her daughter Deborah. She later moved back to Michigan to be with to her family. Patricia was close to her sister, going to Las Vegas with her and cherishing one of her gifts, an all-black puzzle that required the immense attention to detail and patience that Patricia possessed. Along with her care for her family, Patricia loved her old dog "Blackie" that was a rescue. She always had a soft spot for dogs. In her later years, Patricia enjoyed spending time up north on vacations and spent some time on Harsens Island. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
