Roger L. Carpenter, age 76, resident of Utica, Michigan, was called home to be with his Lord on Friday, July 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Roger was born on April 28, 1946, in Rochester, Michigan to the late Hilburn and Charlotte (nee Gibbing) Carpenter.. After graduating from Rochester High School, he enlisted in the US Navy serving 4 years during the Vietnam War aboard the U.S.S. Mansfield. Beloved husband of 51 years to Kay Carpenter (nee Warner). Loving Father of Aaron (Joyce) Carpenter and Jason Carpenter. Proud grandfather of Cohen and Evyn Carpenter. Dear brother of David (Judy) Carpenter, John (Susie) Carpenter, and the late Janet (nee Carpenter) Protcor. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life gathering and service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church 45160 Van Dyke (at Hall Rd./M-59) Utica from 10 am until time of service at 11 am.
