Roger K. McDonald Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roger Kevin McDonald, age 66, passed away on February 23, 2022. He was born on July 8, 1955 in Detroit to Howard McDonald and Dorothy Heckman McDonald. Roger lived in Madison Heights for most of his life and was a 1974 graduate of Madison High School. He was employed as a foreman at Emerald Steele in Madison Heights until his retirement three years ago. Roger will be remembered for his love of every American sport. He played from dusk to dark as a kid, but loved baseball the most. Roger had a great interest in horses and horse pulls were a staple in his life from spring to fall. He seemed to always have a pet in his life, as a boy with Tippy, to Ellie Mae, Brutis, Daisy May and his current dog, Bubba. Anytime you visited Roger, his signature music, Rock and Roll, could be heard playing loud and clear. Beloved son of the late Howard and Dorothy McDonald. Dear brother of Darwin (Linda) McDonald, Bonnie (the late Jess) Perreca, Timothy (the late Cynthia) McDonald, the late Joyce (the late Ronald) Neely, the late Gwen (the late David) Kashich, the late Marlene (Francis, still living) Kinnunen, the late Paulette McDonald. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Visitation Saturday from 10 am until time of service 1 pm at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Rd. (4 blocks E. of Woodward), Royal Oak.
