Anna Bacsikin

Anna Louise Bacsikin, 88, of Shelby Township, MI, has been called into the everlasting arms of our Lord on the 15th day of February, two thousand twenty five. In Shelby Township, MI, in the care facility of Regency at Shelby, Anna departed this world peacefully, surrounded by the love and comfort of her 4 children. Anna is survived by her beloved husband, Louis J. Bacsikin of Shelby Twp., MI of 66 years of marriage. Anna was born in Foley, AL, on the 30th day of July, nineteen hundred thirty six, to the late Earl and Willa Dean Parker of Perdido Beach, AL, being the 2nd oldest of 4 children. She lived her childhood years in the Alabama coastal community of Perdido Beach which she warmly referred to as "The Beach." She attended Foley High School in Foley, AL until her family moved to Detroit, MI in her senior year, where she went on to graduate from Southeastern High School. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Sister, Nana, Great Grandma, Auntie, and friend. A mother who will be greatly missed - She is survived by her 4 children, Carol (John) Bury, Trisha (Jerry) Zielinski, Jeffrey Bacsikin, and Dennis (Lisa) Bacsikin. She is also survived by her sister, Jeanette Parker, her brother, Bill Parker, her brother the late Frank Parker and her sister-in-law Rosie Parker. She was a greatly loved Nana by her 7 grandchildren who are a great testament to the loving, kind virtues she instilled in them - Allie (Joe) Miller, Mackenzie (Jake) Wagner, Paige (Joe) Roebuck, Lucas (Kierstin) Bacsikin, Kirsten Zielinski, Joe Zielinski, and Brad (Jackie) Bury. She was the proud Nana and Great Grandma to 6 beautiful great-grandchildren, Keegan, Kennedy, Ruby, Avery, John, and Elsie. She is also survived by nieces and nephews which she had a special bond - Nancy (Dean) Ruby, Kenny (Diana) Parker, Scott (Norma) Bacsikin, Steve (Claire) Bacsikin, Virginia (Jerry) Clauw, the late Larry Parker, and the late Jerry Parker. Anna lived her life with her priority being her family. She brought much love, compassion, joy, happiness, and laughter to those who knew her. She was one who put everyone before herself. She mostly enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In her earlier years she enjoyed fishing, shrimping, crabbing, and beach going with her Mom & Dad, siblings, children, and cousins in Perdido Beach. She went on to be the First Mate to her husband, Captain Lou, aboard the Crews Inn fishing boat, that she and her husband had, with many successful fishing trips across Michigan. Anna spent much time in Alabama over the years and enjoyed visiting with her parents, family and friends. Anna is known for her well-kept yard, gardening skills, and beautiful flowers. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and playing out in the yard with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and always made delicious Christmas cookies. We can take solace knowing that one day we will meet again in God's promise of eternal life. Wife, Mom, Nana, Great Grandma, Auntie, and friend - We love you so very much and you will be greatly missed. Celebration of Life plans are pending at this time.
