Brenda Purdle

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brenda Purdle, age 64. She passed away on February 28, 2026, and was born on May 8, 1961. She lived a life rooted in faith, love, and devotion to her family. Brenda was the beloved wife of David Purdle and a devoted mother to Dave (Leo) Purdle and Melissa (Lee) Lennox. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Micah Purdle, Tabby Purdle, Stella Purdle, Zack Purdle, JD Purdle, Delilah (Brayden) Huffman, Isaac Lennox, Shiloh Lennox, Jacob Lennox, Eshet Lennox, Phinehas Lennox, Hemi Lennox, and Keilah Lennox. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Karen (Dennis) Deville and Debby McMann, and her dear Aunt Lucille Macomber. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lena (née Haighe) Lowe. Jesus and her faith were the foundation of Brenda's life. She faithfully served for many years in children's ministries and blessed her church family by playing the piano. Her love for the Lord was evident in her gentle spirit, kind heart, and steadfast devotion to prayer and service. Brenda was an incredible mother who dedicated herself to homeschooling her children, nurturing not only their education but their faith and character. She was soft-spoken and gracious, yet fiercely protective when it came to defending those she loved. Her home was a place of warmth and welcome, often filled with music, as she loved to sing. She found joy in tending to her herb garden, caring for her family, and sharing her famous Hawaiian dream cake with those she loved. Brenda's legacy is one of unwavering faith, sacrificial love, and quiet strength. Above all, Brenda's family meant the most to her. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by the people she cherished the most. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her. Brenda's family finds comfort in knowing that she is now with our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, from 5 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 6 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 47151 Betty Street, Shelby Township, MI 48317.
